9K Club Game Rules: How the 9K Spin Works

Updated

Kit the fox in round glasses reading the 9K Spin rule book

Everything the 9K Spin does, written down: how the wheel is coloured, what each pick returns, how the result is drawn and what happens to your coins. Read it once and the game holds no surprises.

The 9K Spin is the one game in the 9K Club room. It is a wheel with ten slices, numbered 0 to 9, and a gold pointer at the top. You choose what you think the pointer will land on, set a chip, and spin. When the wheel stops, the number under the pointer is the ball for that round.

1. The Wheel and Its Colours

Each number has a fixed colour. The rule is short enough to learn in one go:

BallColourSize
0Red + VioletSmall
1, 3GreenSmall
2, 4RedSmall
5Green + VioletBig
6, 8RedBig
7, 9GreenBig

Around the rim the slices run 0, 7, 2, 9, 4, 5, 6, 1, 8, 3 so that Red and Green take turns. The order is decoration: it does not make any number more or less likely.

2. The Three Kinds of Pick

Colour

Pick Green, Red or Violet. Green is correct on 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9; Red on 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8; Violet only on 0 and 5.

Big or Small

Big covers the five high numbers, 5 to 9. Small covers the five low numbers, 0 to 4. Colour plays no part here.

Number

Pick one number from 0 to 9. Only that exact ball counts.

3. What Each Pick Returns

When a pick is correct you get your chip back multiplied by the figure below. When it is not, the chip stays with the wheel.

PickCorrect onReturns
Green1, 3, 7, 9 / 5ร—2 / ร—1.5
Red2, 4, 6, 8 / 0ร—2 / ร—1.5
Violet0, 5ร—4.5
Big5โ€“9ร—2
Small0โ€“4ร—2
NumberThat numberร—9

4. Three Worked Rounds

  1. Red, 100-coin chip, ball 6. 6 is Red, so the pick is correct: 100 ร— 2 = 200 coins come back. Your balance goes from 1,000 to 900 when you spin, then to 1,100.
  2. Green, 50-coin chip, ball 5. 5 is Green and Violet, so Green returns ร—1.5: 75 coins come back. You end the round 25 coins up.
  3. Number 3, 10-coin chip, ball 8. Not your number, so nothing comes back. You are 10 coins down, and the next spin is a fresh start.

5. Chances and the Long Run

Every ball has the same one-in-ten chance on every spin. Multiply each pick's chance by what it returns and you get the average share of coins that comes back over many rounds:

  • Big or Small: 5 in 10 ร— 2 = 100% back on average.
  • Green or Red: (4 in 10 ร— 2) + (1 in 10 ร— 1.5) = 95%.
  • Violet: 2 in 10 ร— 4.5 = 90%.
  • One number: 1 in 10 ร— 9 = 90%.

So no pick grows your coins in the long run, and the bolder picks shrink them slightly faster. Short runs swing a lot either way, which is exactly why a streak tells you nothing about the next ball.

6. How the Ball Is Drawn

The draw happens on your own device the moment you press Spin. The game asks the browser's secure random generator (the same one websites use for security keys) for a random byte. Bytes run from 0 to 255; the game keeps the first byte under 250 and takes its last digit, so each of the ten balls gets exactly 25 of the 250 accepted values. Throwing away 250โ€“255 matters: without it, balls 0 to 5 would come up very slightly more often than 6 to 9.

The wheel animation is then steered to stop on that ball. Nothing about your earlier picks, your balance or the time of day feeds into the draw.

7. Coins, Refills and Starting Over

  • You start with 1,000 practice coins. They have no cash value and cannot be bought, sent or cashed out.
  • When your balance is too low for the chip you chose, a Refill button adds 1,000 coins, as often as you need.
  • Start over resets coins, rounds, streaks and history to a clean 1,000.
  • Everything is saved in your browser only. A private window or cleared site data begins a new session.

Ready? The wheel is on the 9kclubs.org start page.

Questions

What is the smallest and largest chip?+

Chips come in 10, 50, 100 and 500 coins. You can only spin with a chip you can cover, so with 80 coins left the 100 and 500 chips wait until you refill.

Why does Green pay only ร—1.5 when the ball is 5?+

Ball 5 is shared between Green and Violet. Because it counts for two colours, a Green pick that lands on it returns ร—1.5 instead of ร—2. Red works the same way with ball 0.

Can I pick two things in one spin?+

No. Each spin takes one pick: one colour, Big or Small, or one number. Change the pick between spins as often as you like.

Is there a time limit on a round?+

No. Nothing runs on a clock. The wheel turns only when you press Spin, and a spin takes about four seconds from start to result.
